Hey guys I’ve already started my freelance business and I have one client who’s on a 30 hour a month contract. He will be a client for the foreseeable future. It’s not guaranteed yet but I’m confident I have another client starting in January at 30 hours a month as well. I also have a couple meetings set up this week for potential new clients.
I’m currently employed full time but planning on quitting my job for January and moving abroad. I’m going to participate in “workaways” which are basically free room and board around the world in exchange for about 4 hours of work a week. I want to do this for about a year until I get my business under my feet and have a steady income before I return home.
What’s everyone’s opinions on this? I really value hearing from others before making decisions. Thanks!
