Critique My Agency

I am at a very close to really growing my business that I have been working on for a few years. I am at about 8 clients that have been all word of mouth and I want to get my business setup well enough to take on multiple clients at once without diluting the services I provide for my other clients. I wanted to get some critiques from the community to see what I can do to improve, automate, and research to make my agency the best it can be.

My business: without giving away too much, I have an agency that focuses on a specific industry in the services industry.

I have 2 contractors, 1 works on SEO and the other works on WordPress. Both work with each other for the on page SEO work and then work separately for tasks that dont overlap with their work.

Hosting/Wordpress contractor will make changes, updates and doing any tasks that are needed from the SEO contractor.

SEO contractor has various tasks (depending on where each client is at) doing local SEO, on and off page SEO, link building, etc

We rebranded to have a focus on our niche industry so we are in the middle of working on the new site, logo, socials, etc

I primarily do the sales, onboarding tasks, finance, and general development of the business. I don’t pay myself a dime and I make sure that my contractors are paid much higher than market wages in there locations. I feel that it’s important to compensate them well enough for helping develop the business.

Programs I am running:
SEMRush Business, Melio (for payments), Quickbooks Online (Accounting), Slack and [monday.com](https://monday.com) integrated, Elementor Agency License, 1Password (password bank), Ringcentral (call forwarding), Data Studio (reporting), and SEMRush Local SEO (part of the package for each client).

We are going to start marketing hard in person and online, so we are setting up all of our socials, local business listing accounts, email marketing (have about 30,000 emails), and maybe ads if we don’t have initial luck.

We currently don’t get a lot of requests for Ad’s or Social media marketing (yet) and I want to start pushing that once I find the right contractors for it. The two contractors I have will become employees once I bring in a few more steady clients. Naturally, my plan is to contract until theres the work to make it an employable position.

Is there anything that I am missing? Are there things I could automate? Is there good advice about taking on a certain amount of clients as I grow? Maybe I am being a little insecure and I should just throw my feet to the fire, but any advice would be appreciated before I go all in.

Thanks!
