Hi all – I’ve been a full time freelancer for 17 years. In that time I’ve learnt a lot about handling clients, what not to do and seen the good the bad the ugly. But I’m finding that in the last few years my patience has gone less and less. I’m curious to hear the thoughts of others, if they find despite getting better at dealing with clients they feel also more fed up with them as they go on. Perhaps I’m just becoming a grumpy old man, but I’m wondering if what I’m feeling is a natural shelf life. Part of it for me is perhaps feeling that I’ve now become a bit of an expert in various areas and have achieved some good accolades – but in between that when I’m dealing with a client and get treated like dirt I probably feel even more now that I don’t have to put up with it as i’ve earned my stripes. Can anyone relate?
