Google Business Profile “Opening Date”

The company I work for has been open since 2009. Small mom-and-pop, IP legal firm with just a handful of clients. We only started our online presence in 2020 and now have 60 GMB reviews.

My question is, should I set our open date for 2009 (with a dismal 60 reviews) or should I set it for 2020? Our lead attorney has over 30 years of experience. I’m not sure what the right course of action is: let people know we have been around for a long time but just getting into the swing of things online, OR show our presence beginning when we set up our digital footprint?

The only indication online that we have been around since 2009 is on our principal attorney’s LinkedIn page. Not sure how relevant that is.

Thanks!
