How do you feel secured as a freelancer?

I’ve been freelancing since 2020, right after I’ve graduated college. I never had a ‘regular’ job and I seriously do not intend on getting one. I absolutely LOVE the work I do, and the thought about working for myself is something most people only dream about.

But man, I feel so nervous about my future. I’m working as a freelance voiceover artist on Fiverr, and it’s great and all, but I’m worrying that I might not be able to do this for as long as I would like to.

What if what I’m earning won’t be enough in the long run? What if I get less or no clients in the future? What if artificial intelligence gets so good that there won’t be a need for people like me? What do I do then? I would be 40 years old with no real job experience to make a decent salary.

I listen to my friends’ stories, and working a regular job doesn’t sound half bad to be honest. You clock in for 8 hours and get paid even if there is no job to do. They also get a lot of benefits. In freelancing, you REALLY need to put in the work to get paid and it feels as if you’re working 24/7 sometimes.

But, again, I absolutely love what I’m doing right now. I don’t know what exactly I’m asking for here, but help me, reddit. 🙁
