I’ve been with Turbify since Geocities, but it might be time to move on.

I have a 20+year-old website that will probably always only consist of text, images, and html/css. I’ve been making pages onboard, and “easy-upload”-ing them at Geocities/Yahoo/Verizon/Turbify.

I feel like it’s time to move on. My confidence in the host is wavering, and the buzz is skeptical, where even existent. It’s like a company that’s fading away. I remember the first wave of hosting services and how they *did* fade away. So that’s my main concern. Also, sometimes my pages don’t load at first try upon regular viewing.

Anyhow, I think it’s time to get a new host for my simple website. It does have a rather large quantity of files in just one directory. That’s how I want to work: with pages linked by links, not in folders, “organized.” One time somebody at one of those transitory companies suggested that I not put so many documents in the main directory, but I want to. That’s my only special demand, technically-speaking.

I wonder what might be the best option for hosting my site.
