Nixi – iWebFusion – Hstngr – Other?

Can’t type a name so did what I think makes it obv without confusing it for the one that is spelled similar? idk… Mods if I violated anything lmk I’d be happy to adjust acronyms etc… to any requests you have, thank you!

Looking at going SUPER cheap on hosting to start several blogs which will have auto affiliate links, and other similar things. One blog will be focused on the path from no experience to professional Social Media Manager & the path that was taken (courses used, software purchased, recommended tools, etc…)… Another one would be focused on the path from no experience in cybersecurity to becoming Cyber Security Pentesting professional.

* **What is your monthly budget?**
* **$12-15/mo ish (cheaper better obv)**
* **Where are you/your users located?**
* **USA**
* **What kind of site are you hosting (WordPress, phpBB, custom software, etc) or what is your use case?**
* **Wordpress See above notes**
* **Do you have a monthly traffic volume? Estimates are ok.**
* **None so far new blogs – Hoping to monetize the affiliate / ad portion to build enough income to replace job within 3yrs**
* **If you’re looking at VPSes: Do you have experience administrating linux servers and infrastructure?**
* **Minor-Mid level experience… Managed preferred if this route is what is taken**
* **Did you read the sidebar/check out the hosts listed there? I’ve personally vetted these companies and their services are a good fit for 99% of people.**
* I have looked at iWebFusion & Nixie, however I’m not liking the vagueness in iWebFusion resource limits for various plans. As well as their rules against “Hacker” based content meaning a blog teaching the path through Cybersec could get the account deactivated / websites removed without warning.
* Nixi puts me off from not being able to host more than 5 on a $12/mo ish without upgrading to the $18 and paying for a full year up front to drop it to $15/mo, coupled with having to add offsite backups on for additional cost that still being approx $20/mo.
* I see Hstngr has some fairly low cost / competitive specs & rates currently with their new year sale bringing most expensive website plan with hosting for 4 years down to like $30 more than iWebFusion (Large Shared 1yr), and almost $70 cheaper than Nixi (Prof Shared 1yr)… Plus they have VPS plans that line up similarly…

Should I say screw the hstngr even though it keeps hosting worries off my mind for 4 years or less while still saving massively? If so where should I go? Nixi? iWebFusion? other?

\*Nixi Plan Looked At: Basic & Prof shared | Add On Off-Site Backups

\*iWebFusion Plan Looked At: Large & Huge shared | No Add Ons

Genuinely looking here, and trying to ensure I pick something that will work well, off-site backup, etc…

\*Why separate Domain & Website providers other than if they are combined and someone breaks in it’s easier to snekky the domain away / deface site?
